Faye Goodwin

Brenda Faye Goodwin, 62, of 126 Arthur Circle, Rockingham, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Rockingham Manor in Rockingham. Mrs. Goodwin was born September 12, 1948 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late James Handy and Lillie Mae Norton Goodwin. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and had been employed with The Bibb Company. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lillie Goodwin Lyde and Robert Kyle Lyde, Sr. of Rockingham; grandchildren, Robert K. “Robbie” Lyde, Jr, Amanda L. Currie, Elizabeth R. Lyde; brothers, Cecil Goodwin and Ronald Goodwin, both of Rockingham, Doug Goodwin of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Rose Peterson of Fayetteville, Sylvia Grooms and Peggy Smith, both of Rockingham. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday in Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. The family will be gathering at the Currie home, 188 Haywood Cemetery Road, Rockingham.
