James Edward Pressley

James Edward Pressley, 58, of 103 Plantation Rd., Rockingham, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at his home. Mr. Pressley was born January 4, 1953 in Richmond County, a son of the late Boyce and Wilma Sanford Pressley. He had served his country in the US Navy, was a former member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was the former owner of W.H. Parker Insurance Agency. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Honeycutt Pressley of the home; son, Jerry Dean Pressley of Rockingham; daughter, Heather Patrice Norton of Rockingham; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Grant, Jr., Rev. Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. and Rev. Royce Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home on Plantation Road.
