Dorris Ann Queen

Dorris Ann Nichols Queen, 75, of 107 Everett St. Rockingham, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Queen was born June 2, 1935 in Lakin, KS, a daughter of the late Clyde and Hazel Pansy Barker Nichols. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hamlet and had taught piano for many years. Surviving are her daughters, Julie Hayes and husband Scott of Memphis, TN, Kathy Crossman of Monahans, TX; grandchildren, Shanna Blanton and husband William, Jamie Alfrey; and great grandchildren, Lacie, Wyatt, Nicholas and Robert. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service Monday at Carter Funeral Home.
