Betty Chloe Burns

Betty Chloe Honeycutt Burns, 63, of Holiday Village, Rockingham, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Burns was born June 1, 1947 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Mary Guinn Honeycutt. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett R. Burns and a daughter, Maryann Butler. Surviving are a son, James Guinn of Rockingham; daughters, Angeline Mitchell and Diane Guinn, both of Rockingham, Tricia Guinn of Shelby; brothers, Matthew Honeycutt of Hamlet, David Honeycutt of Ellerbe; sisters, Mildred Moss and Sarah McCormick, both of Rockingham; step sons, Keith Burns of Gainesville, GA, Craig Guinn, and Paul Guinn, Jr., both of Rockingham; step daughters, Mary Troxler and Janice Guinn, both of Rockingham; 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev Charlie Tyler and Rev. Don Kivett officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
