Eunnie Bess Gainey Vincent

Eunnie Bess Gainey Vincent, 87, of 871 Old Cheraw Highway, Rockingham, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Hospice Haven of Rockingham. Mrs. Vincent was born December 4, 1923 in Chesterfield County, SC, a daughter of the late Samuel and Whicie Etta Knight Gainey. She was a member of Cordova Baptist Church and the AmVets. She had retired from Sara Lee Hosiery Company. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Wright; brothers, Hurl, Odell, Bruce, Harlie “Dee”, Carlie Gainey; sisters, Wincie Gleaton, Annie Hendrix and her first husband, Kenneth Wright. Surviving are her husband, Cass Vincent of the home; son, Jim Wright of Monroe; 3 grandchildren and a sister, Leila Quay of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Cordova Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Monroe and Rev. Landis Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm Friday at Cordova Baptist Church and at other times at the home on Old Cheraw Highway.
