Bennie "Teenie" Cobbler Hill

Bennie Lou “ Teenie” Cobbler Hill. 76, of 106 McIntosh Rd., Ellerbe, died Wednesday, April 06, 2011 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hill was born July 21, 1934 in Surry County, a daughter of the late James A. and Bessie Belton Cobbler. She was a member of New Life Congregational Holiness Church and a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Michael G. Hill of the home; sons, Terry Thompson of Ellerbe, Ken Thompson of Hamlet; daughters, Ann Lyerly of Rockingham, Deborah Abbott of Ellerbe, Pam Howard of Upland, Ca; step son Timothy Brothers of Ruskin, FL; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Cobbler of Ellerbe, Jimmy Cobbler and Thomas Cobbler, both of Hamlet; and sisters, Bernice Poplin of Hamlet, Nancy Hayes and Shirley Carlisle, both of Cordova, Louise Bell of Georgia, and Bobbie Richardson of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday at New Life Church Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will see friends following the service at the church and at other times at the home on McIntosh St. Memorials may be made to New Life Church Congregational Holiness Church 575 Airport Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379.
