Wanda Allen Ard

Wanda Kay Allen Ard, 62 of Rockingham died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center. Wanda was born October 4, 1948 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Tony and Ruby Pascal Allen. She was a home maker and retired from K-Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Franklin Ard a son Tony Marshall Ard and two brothers Timothy Allen and Johnny Allen. She is survived by four sons Master Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) Franklin Ard of Greensboro and Raymond Ard, Jerry Ard, Robbie Ard all of Rockingham, one daughter Lisa Marie Ard-Autry of Rocky Mount, three brothers Jerry Allen, Terry Allen, Tracy Allen all of Georgia and one sister Judy Gleaton also of Georgia and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Joe Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow at Northam Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
