James "Jim" Adam McIntyre

Mr. James “Jim” Adam McIntyre 74, of Ellerbe died Saturday April 30, 2011 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. Mr. McIntyre was born January 8, 1937 in Richmond County a son of the late William C. and Dolly King McIntyre. He was also preceded in death by one son Jeffery McIntyre in 2006 and a brother Ray McIntyre. He was of the Holiness faith. He retired from CSX railroad as a machinist. He is survived by his wife Joann Thompson McIntyre of the home, two sons Jimmy McIntyre of Bennettsville and Wayne McIntyre of Cordova, one daughter Sharon M. Johnson of Little River S.C., three brothers William “Toot” McIntyre and Richard McIntyre both of Rockingham and Joe McIntyre of X-Way, two sisters Lois M. Scott of Ellerbe and Faye Warner of Norman, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Ellerbe with Rev. Wayne Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at Carter Funeral home in Ellerbe from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and at other times at the home. Memorial may be made to Hospice of Scotland County P.O. Box 1033 Laurinburg N.C. 28353.
