Deborah Horne Bowers

Deborah Lee Horne Bowers, 57, of Marston, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her home. Deborah was born March 2, 1954 in Richmond County, a daughter of Margaret Shepherd Horne and the late William Horne. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Michael Bowers of the home; sons, Marcus Bryant and wife Kari of Hamlet, Michael Bowers of Marston; daughters, Dawn Dewitt and husband Chris of Ellerbe, Stacy Graves and husband Jeff of Hamlet; grandchildren, Devin Dewitt, Jacob Dewitt, Gavin Graves, Taylor Graves, Darrian Smith, Dawson Bryant; her mother, Margaret Horne of Rockingham; and brothers, Johnny Horne and wife Chris of Germany, Nelson Horne and wife Debra of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. Private interment will be held later in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at her mother’s home, 1929 Ardsley Rd. Rockingham.
