Sarah Barrett Goodman

Mrs. Sarah Gray Barrett Goodman, 87 of Rocingham died Tuesday at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Goodman was born March 28, 1924 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth Hamer Barrett. She was owner and operator of Revel’s Bar-B-Q, and also a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Otis Goodman in 1991 and one son Otis M. “Junie” Goodman Jr. She is survived by her son Ronald G. Goodman and wife Cynthia, and a daughter Cynthia Altman and husband Dexter all of Rockingham. Grandchildren Woody Altman, Mackie Altman, Delinda Coan, Emily Harden, Patti Goodman, Beth Plowman, Kimberly Goodman, Brian Lee Goodman, and Greg Goodman. , Fourteen Great Grand Children and one Great Great Grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Richmond County Memorial Park graveside with Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham from 7:00-9:00 P.M and at other times at the home of her daughter. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Scotland County P.O.
