Albert Elwood Lee

Albert Elwood Lee of Ellerbe died peacefully on Friday morning, September 16, 2011. He was born October 28, 1936 to the late Henry Lee and Ada Britt Lee. A service to celebrate his life will be held at First Baptist Church in Ellerbe on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11 am with Reverend Dr. James Brown, Reverend Daniel Capps, and Reverend Eric Joyce officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Ellerbe. The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5-7 pm. He is survived by his wife Dathia Joyce Lee of the home and daughters Daphne Lee Smith and her husband Thomas, Charlene Lee Rice and her husband Tom, and son Gregory Kevin Lee and his wife Cindy. He has four grandchildren, Gregory Kevin Lee, II, Jonathan Taylor Lee, Rhiannon Lee Cook and Mathew Christopher Lee and Alex Wagers who he considered a grandson. He was preceded in death by his son, Elwood R. Lee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Haven, 1119 North US Highway 1, Rockingham, NC or Stand Up 2 Cancer.
