Betty Jenkins Haltom

Betty Ann Jenkins Haltom, 77, formerly of Rockingham, died Friday, September 30, 2011. Mrs. Haltom was born October 10, 1933 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late James David and Wilma Irene Hogan Jenkins. She was a retired poultry farmer and was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Haltom. Surviving are her sons, John of Arkansas, W.R. of Rockingham; daughter, Cheryl of Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara Gerald of Marston and Brenda Jenkins of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home Rockingham with Rev. Larry Talley officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
