Jo An Clark Voncannon

Mrs. Jo An Clark Voncannon, 68 of 1263 Sandhills Game Management Road, Rockingham, died October 3, 2011 in First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. She was born June 7, 1943 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late William Boyce and Jane Poplin Clark. She worked in textiles and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Samuel Merle Voncannon of the home, sons; Ernest Bowman, Jr. of Hamlet and Howard Bowman of Ellerbe, a daughter Barbara Jane Honeycutt of Asheville, a sister Shelby Jean Lovette of DeLand, Fla. Also surviving are four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel in Rockingham, officiated by Rev. Donnie Davis. The family will receive friends one hour after the memorial service and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US Hwy #1 North, Rockingham, NC. Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham is serving the Voncannon family.
