Barbara Blue Holmes

Barbara Ann Blue Holmes, 49, of Rockingham, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Holmes was born November 10, 1961 in Scotland County, a daughter of Winford and Sallie Locklear Blue. She was a member of Community Holiness Church of Wagram and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Winfred Blue. Surviving are her husband, William Holmes of the home; son, Chris Holmes of Rockingham; daughters, Jessica Miller of Laurel Hill, Holly Castro of Rockingham; 8 grandchildren; her parents , Winford and Sallie L. Blue of Wagram; brothers, Jimmy Blue and Lynn Blue, both of Wagram; and sisters, Betty Locklear and Rosie Justice, both of Wagram, and Emma Hatley of Albemarle. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Community Holiness Church in Wagram with Rev. Billy Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Family Cemetery in Wagram. The family will see friends from 4-6 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
