David Eugene Ingram, 66, of Ellerbe, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Mr. Ingram was born March 13, 1945, a son of the late Robert T. and Beatrice Mabe Ingram. He had been employed with Hornwood Industries in Lilesville for 37 years and had a very loving work family. He was a loving husband and very special dad who loved his game of golf and enjoyed all sports with his grandsons. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Glover Ingram of the home; sons Shaun Ingram and wife Kay of Seven Lakes, Jeffrey Ingram and wife Christy of Rockingham; grandchildren Dax and Corey Ingram of Seven Lakes, Brandon and Justin Ingram of Rockingham; brothers, Robert Ingram and wife Betty of Rockingham, Richard Ingram and wife Kathy of Darlington; and sister, Carol Williams and husband Ronnie of Ellerbe. Also surviving are 4 nieces, 1 nephew and special uncles, Herbert and Watson Mabe. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Monday in the Ellerbe Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home .
