Mary Ballard Webster

Mary Frances Ballard Webster, 77, of 392 Peggy Mill Rd. Hamlet, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. Webster was born November 8, 1929 in Iredell County, a daughter of the late William Nathan and Sarah young Ballard. She was a member of Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Junior Webster in November,2006, a granddaughter, Veronica Gaddy and a grandson, Richard Blake. Surviving are two daughters, Joy and husband Marvin Blake, Cathy and husband Billy Edwards, all of Rockingham, three sons, Larry and wife Sharon Webster of Rockingham, Paul and wife Janice Webster, Roger and wife Anita Webster, all of Hamlet. two brothers, Louis Ballard of Durham, David Ballard of Virginia, three sisters, Shirley Ballard and Audrey Stroupe both of Huntersville, Sarah Allen of Florida, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren 3 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Cribb and Rev. Frank McQuage officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:30 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Peggy Mill Rd.
