Sadie McLemore McCaskill

Sadie Ruth McLemore McCaskill, 90, of Rockingham, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. McCaskill was born January 16, 1921 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Henry and Annie Pearl McCaskill McLemore. She was a longtime member of Pee Dee United Methodist Church, where for many years she served as church pianist/organist and was a homemaker. Her husband, Clyde Wesley McCaskill, preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Lanny R. McCaskill of Rockingham, Henry W. McCaskill of Cedar Hill, TN; daughters, Patricia A. McCaskill of Charlotte, Sandra J. McCaskill, Norma G. McCaskill and Susan M. White, all of Rockingham; a sister, Ray Nell Perkins of Rockingham; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at Pee Dee United Methodist Church with Rev. Mic Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
