Walter Harrison Shore Walter Harrison Shore, 75 of 131 Pence Street died Saturday December 3, 2011 in Carolinas Hospital Florence, SC. Mr. Shore was born April 14, 1936 in Guilford County, NC., a son of the late Hiliary and Margaret Hill Shore. He was retired from the management team for many locations with Service Distributing Company. He was a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting and encouraging his fellow church members during their times of sickness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frankie V. Shore, daughter; Tamara Darlene Shore and step-daughter Dianne Phifer, three brothers; Daniel, Jack and James Shore. Surviving are his daughters; Vickie Shore Noggle of Calabash, NC, Janice Shore of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Carol Waits of Calabash, NC, step-daughter Judy Guinn of Hamlet. Also surviving are grandchildren; Rebecca Deaver, Donna Williams, Billy Ledwell III, Lisa Grubb and 13 additional grandchildren, great granddaughter Brittany Grubb and 16 additional great grandchildren. Also surviving is a very dear friend Evangelist Tom Rippy. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Freedom Baptist Church, Pastor Ronnie McLean and Evangelist Tom Rippy will officiate. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the home of Donna Gainey 140 Broadleaf Dr. Hamlet, NC Those who desire may send memorials to Freedom Bapist Church 987 N.
