Melinda Billingsley Cashwell

Melinda Billingsley Cashwell, 43, of 304 Oak Ridge Church Rd., Hamlet died Saturday, July 28, 2007. She was born March 1, 1964 in Henrico Co., VA, a daughter of Kay Frances Hargett and William Everett Billingsley. Mrs. Cashwell was an Intensive Care Registered Nurse at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet and a member of East Rockingham Congregational Holiness Church. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 1st in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel in Rockingham with Rev. Jerry Goins officiating. Interment will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Steve Cashwell of the home; a son, Steven Cashwell of the home; her father, William Everett Billingsley of Chapel Hill; her mother, Kay H. Hinson of Holden Beach; a daughter, Sherrie Cashwell of Rockingham; a brother, Andrew E. Billingsley, Sr. and wife Claire and children Andrew, Jr. and Alexander of Durham; mother in law, Bessie Cashwell of Rockingham; and sister in laws, Barbara Quick of Rockingham and Doris Campbell of Laurel Hill. Mrs. Cashwell was preceded in death by a brother, William Lawrence Billingsley. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
