Martin Lexie McQueen, Jr

Martin Lexie “Marty” McQueen, Jr., 60, of Ellerbe, died Monday, December 05, 2011 at Rockingham Manor. Mr. McQueen was born November 21, 1951 in Orange County, NC a son of Alene Clark McQueen and the late Martin Lexie McQueen. He attended Southwood Pentecostal Holiness Church and had been employed with the Capitol Police and the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh and later as a driver with Sandhills Transportation. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael McQueen. Surviving are a son, Grayson McQueen of Rockingham; a daughter, Alana McQueen of Rockingham; and his mother, Alene McQueen of Hamlet. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Derby Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Minnick officiating. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
