Diane Levander Rogers

Flora Diane Levander Rogers, 59, of Shallotte N.C formerly of Rockingham, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington. Mrs. Rogers was born July 13, 1952 in Richmond County, a daughter of Laura Mae Causey Levander Brown and the late Arvid W. Levander. She had been employed with Kern Foods and was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Blue. Surviving are her husband, James R. Rogers of the home; daughter, Sharon Nicole “Nikki” Johnson of Shallotte; grandchildren, Anthony Thornton and Ashleigh Nicole Thornton, both of Shallotte; her mother and step-father, Laura Mae and Billy C. Brown of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Tuttle and Rev. Corey Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Brown home, 145 Keith Ave. Rockingham.
