Thomas "Woody" Woodrow White

Thomas Woodrow “ Woody” White, 68, of Ellerbe died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. White was born January 15, 1943 in Harnett County, a son of the late George Patrick and Annie Lee McNeill White. He was a retired Insurance Agent and a former Land Surveyor. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Aleisa Ann White, and 2 brothers, Patrick E. White and Kenneth H. White. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Joanne Hall White of the home; sons, Kenneth W. White of Ellerbe, Frank C. Nicoletti of Candor, Steven B. Nicoletti of Rockingham; a brother, John W White of Sanford; sisters, Janice Winchester of Monroe, Patricia Setzer of Sanford; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday on the Carter Funeral Home Ellerbe Chapel with Rev. Elizabeth Polk officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richmond County Humane Society, 529 W US Highway 74, Rockingham, NC 28379.
