Ronald Dean McCroskey Jr

Ronald “Ronnie” McCroskey, Jr. , 23 of 156 Patterson Street, Rockingham died Thursday evening at his home. Born March 2, 1988 in Scotland County, NC., a son of Ronald Dean McCroskey, Sr and Phyllis Layton McCroskey. He served his country as a US Army Airborne Ranger. He was preceded in death by his half brother Michael Horton, Jr. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Monday at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Ronald Dean McCroskey III and Ari McLendon McCroskey parents, his fiancée Casey Jacobs of Hamlet, a brother Brian McCroskey of Rockingham, half brother Nicholas McCroskey and wife Andrea and niece Ella of Cramerton, NC, half brother Matthew McCroskey and wife Brittany and niece Skylar of Bessemer City, NC. Also surviving is his maternal grandfather Paul Layton of Rockingham and his paternal grandmother Betty Rigley and husband Brian of Charlotte. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3-5:00pm at Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home 156 Patterson Street, Rockingham, NC.
