Timothy Odell Watts, Jr. ,56, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday December 16, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 10, 1955 in Richmond County, NC. a son of Timothy Odell Watts, Sr. and Becky Leviner Watts. He was a 1974 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and and also was a graduate of the welding program at RTI. Tim worked as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic for Richmond County’s Landfill until his retirement. He attended Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy and was an avid member of Tripoli Rocketry Association in which he achieved a level II certification. He is survived by his parents, his wife of 34 years, Pamela B. (Pam) Watts of Rockingham, a daughter , Richelle Watts Taylor and husband Mike of Rockingham, two sisters, Myra Deason and husband Tom of Rockingham, Paige Watts also of Rockingham, his niece Erin Smoot of Rockingham and his nephew Matthew Chavis and wife Brittney of Winston-Salem, NC. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday at the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel in Rockingham with the Rev. Mark Lampley and Rev. Frank Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 Monday evening at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the home of his parents 429 Love Lane, Rockingham, NC.
