Grace Virginia Hooks

Grace Virginia Hooks, 95, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center. She was born February 07, 1916 in Anson County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Eddie James and Elva Ballard Hutchinson. She was a loving wife as well as a gracious housewife. Grace was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. John Hooks. She is survived by her son, Richard Hooks of Rockingham, daughter Catherine Huggins and husband Malcolm of Rockingham, sister Margie Lathan of Rockingham, along with 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday at Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Rockingham with the Rev. Mickey Briles officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 Friday afternoon at Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Rockingham.
