John Albert Quick

John Albert Quick The angels came and quietly took John home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2012. John was born May 7, 1942 to the late Hal M. and Zeda Mae Sessoms Quick. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Quick. John worked for many years at Aleo, Coca Cola and as his health declined at Mc Donalds as a maintenance man. John loved repairing cars and could get any car running. He was always a hard worker and a very loving man. He was a member of Outreach for Jesus and was the most wonderful husband, father, papa and brother. John leaves behind: Teresa, his wife of 33 years, seven children: Marc Quick of Burlington; Judith Quick of Hamlet; Robin Luckey of Los Angeles, California; Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Tanya Quick of Hamlet; Mr. and Mrs. Jamie and Amanda Quick of Rockingham; Jessica and John Quick of the home. Four grandchildren: Christian Quick of Hamlet; Alisha Parrish, Jamie and Gage Quick all of Rockingham. One great grandchild: Aubree Brown of Rockingham. One sister: Jewell Paul of Ellerbe and one brother Delano Quick of Hamlet. A very special thanks goes to Robert Sweatt who lovingly cared for John. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Carter Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be 3:00 PM. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Outreach for Jesus with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery. To John, we will always miss you terribly and our lives will never be the same.
