Harry Webb Wrenn, 83, of 210 Clayton Carriker Rd. Ellerbe, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. Mr. Wrenn was born October 31, 1923 in Richmond County, a son of the late Carter Wrenn and Ethel Webb Wrenn Webb. He was a graduate of Ellerbe High School, had served his country for 6 years in the US Navy, was a volunteer fireman with the Ellerbe Fire Department, a little league baseball coach and was instrumental in starting a girls softball league in Ellerbe. He was a member of Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church, which he dearly loved and for 33 years was the owner and operator of Harry’s Exxon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters and a brother. Surviving are his wife, Elouise Greene Wrenn of the home, son Randy Wrenn and wife Debbie of Rockingham, daughter, Julie Jones and husband B.K. III of Rockingham, grandchildren, Justin Wrenn and wife Jennifer, Jenny Wrenn and Benjamin and Julie Anna Jones. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thompson and Rev. Eugene McNair officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home on Clayton Carriker Road.
