Frances West Wallace

Mrs Frances West Wallace, 84 of 143 Mill Street Rockingham died Thursday March 8, 2012 in Morrison Manor, Laurinburg, NC. She was born February 16, 1928 in Weldon, NC a daughter of the late George Franklin and Hattie Boyette West. She was retired from the mending room of JP Stevens. Frances and her husband Clay were active members of Pee Dee United Methodist Church and together served as Youth Councelors, Frances had also served as head of the Prayer Chain. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; George Tilman “Buck” West, Leroy West, Harold West, sisters; Arbutus “Boots” Smith, Anna Bell Wilkes, , Elizabeth “Lib” Nuttall. Her husband of 64 years, Clay Wallace and a brother Rev. Tommy West survives her. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, March 11, 2011 at Pee Dee United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Michael Griffin. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
