James Hudson

James Ernest Hudson, Sr., 83, of 1808 Park Ave., Rockingham passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1923, a son of the late W. T. ‘Bud’ Hudson and Myrtle Hudson. Mr. Hudson was retired from Merita Bread Co. Following his retirement, he delivered the Richmond County Daily Journal. Mr. Hudson was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. Funeral services will be conducted graveside 2:00 pm Saturday, September 8th at Richmond Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. Surviving are his wife, Margie Williams Hudson of the home; son, Jim Hudson and wife Donna of Rockingham; daughter, Donna King and husband Gary of Ellerbe; grandson, Gary King, Jr. of Ellerbe; brothers, Jack Hudson and wife Mary and Fred Hudson and wife Edith, all of Rockingham; and sisters, Jewel Evans and husband J. D. and Violet Jones and husband Charles, all of Rockingham, and Mary Player of Cornelius. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Caudle and Annie Chambers.
