Margie Bailey

Margie Heavner Bailey, 89, of Rockingham, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. Mrs. Bailey was born September 29, 1922 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Lewis F. and Wrenn Moody Heavner. She was a member of New Covenant Christian Fellowship and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. Bailey, Jr.,son, Gary Bailey and daughter-in-law Sandra Watson Bailey. Surviving are sons, Randy Bailey and wife Dayle and Keith Bailey and wife Mary, both of Rockingham, Joel Bailey of Cary; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday at New Covenant Christian Fellowship with Rev. Mike Coble and Rev. Mike Porter officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 1 to 2:15 pm Friday at the church and at other times at Randy and Dayle's, 207 Lakeshore Dr., Rockingham.
