Carolyn Mills Rainwater

Carolyn Marie Mills Rainwater, 70 of Cordova, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at her home. She was born August 9, 1941 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Zeb and Alma Young Mills. She worked at Imperial Food before retirement. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Odell and Leon Mills. She is survived by five sons, Craig Vance Guinn of Rockingham, Paul Ray Guinn Jr. of Rockingham, Stephen Ellis Rainwater of Hamlet, Christopher Dale Rainwater of Cordova, and Shirl James Rainwater of Rockingham, two daughters, Janice Annette Guinn of Rockingham, and Ann Troxler of Rockingham, and one step-daughter Angelina Mitchell of Rockingham, one brother Richard Mills of Rockingham and four sisters Carol Stubbs of Rockingham. Judy Shepard of Rockingham, Janet Lowery of Tenn. and Avis Bowman of Hoffman, eighteen grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Russell Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Eastside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and at other times at the home.
