Jesse William Morehead

Mr. Jesse Morehead Mr. Jesse William Morehead, age 70, of Rockingham died Monday, September 17, 2007 at his home. Mr. Morehead was born June 25, 1937 a son of the late Worth William and Ethel Shehan Morehead. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #339 both of Kings Mountain, N.C. He retired from Liberty Life Insurance Co. after 30 years of service where he was an agent, staff manager, training assistant, and Manager of the Rockingham office. He graduated from Kings Mountain High School and was a member of the LUTC insurance underwriters. Before his illness, he was an avid fisherman; also loved to host cookouts for his co-workers of Liberty Life. He was preceded in death by a son William Christopher Morehead. He is survived by his wife of Fifty years Jane Yarbrough Morehead of the home, one son Kevin Wray Morehead and wife Debbie of Rockingham, Daughter Tammy and husband Kevin Pattan of Rockingham Grandchildren Seth Pattan,and Miles Pattan of Rockingham, Susannah Morehead of Hamlet and Stevie Allen of Pine Bluff. One Great Grandchild Lexie Allen of Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dwight Williams and Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham.
