Ollie Thomas Boone

Mr. Ollie Thomas Boone, 77, of 277 Yates Hill Rd. Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at his home. Mr. Boone was born December 17, 1929 in Richmond County, a son of the late James and Ida Lammonds Boone. He had retired from Wade Manufacturing Company. His wife, Mary Blayton ( Bobbie) Boone, a great grandson, Glenn Eaves,and 10 brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter, Elaine Boone Martin and husband Neil, grandchildren, Glori Frye and husband Larry , Shannon Haywood and husband Matt, Brian Eaves and wife Bonnie and Bobbie Martin, great grandchildren, Wyatt Haywood, Carleigh Haywood, Gloria Frye, Corey Eaves and Gabby Eaves, sisters, Willie Hoffman and Monnie Paul, all of Rockingham. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Larrimore officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the Martin home, 1755 US Hwy 1 N, Rockingham.
