Tom Vaughn

Mr. Tom Charles Vaughn, Jr. 59, of 738 Boyd Lake Rd., Hamlet died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at his home. He was born April 20, 1948 in Anson County, a son of Edna Paul Vaughn and the late Tom Charles Vaughn, Sr. Mr. Vaughn attended New Life Congregational Holiness Church and was self-employed with Vaughn's Lawn Maintenance. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, October 1st in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Linda Watts Vaughn of the home; a son, Charles Vaughn and wife Robin of Hamlet; two daughters, Maria V. Messer and husband Jeffrey of Rockingham and Faye V. Stall and husband Craig of Sanford; seven grandchildren, Chris, Joshua, Grace, Patricia, Mya, Alexander, and Madison; one brother, Pastor Bill Vaughn of Vass; and one sister, Barbara Lyerly of Rockingham. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Richmond County, 1119 US Hwy 1 North, Rockingham, NC 28379.
