Eva Ruth Poplin Hadden

Eva Ruth Poplin Hadden, 90, of 1141 Airport Rd. Rockingham, died Friday, October 05, 2007 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mrs. Hadden was born July 25, 1917 in Sheppard, SC, a daughter of the late James Thomas and Betty Elizabeth Liles Poplin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hamlet and had retired from the Brown Derby Restaurant. Her husband, Elton J. Hadden preceded her in death in 1955. Surviving are her son, James Hadden of Rockingham, and her daughter, Libby Hadden of the home. Funeral services were held Sunday at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum with Trey Martin officiating. The family greeted friends following the service. Carter Funeral Home is assisting the Hadden family.
