Audrey Faye Dawkins

Audrey Faye Dawkins, 75, of 805 Sycamore Lane died Friday morning at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. Audrey was born August 5, 1936, in Richmond County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reid and Beulah Howell Webb and a son, Larry Dawkins. She was a homemaker and had worked in local textiles and at Journal Stationary prior to her retirement. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Dawkins, of the home, a daughter, Glenda Faye Rogers and husband Steve of Rockingham, sisters: Carol Fugate, Doris Goodwin and Cynthia Campbell all of Rockingham. Also surviving are three grandchildren and one great grandchild. A service to celebrate the life of Audrey Faye will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, June 17, at Sweet Haven Church officiated by Rev. Mitchell Roller. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-9:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the home on Sycamore Lane.
