Beulah Davis Bennett

Beulah Frances Davis Bennett, 83, of Rockingham, died Thursday, August 02, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Bennett was born May 3, 1929 in Hoke County, a daughter of the late Joe Wheeler Davis and the late Annie Lee Parks Davis Guinn. She was an active member of the Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy where she was a Women’s Prayer leader and very active in Relay for Life. She had retired from Watts Cleaners after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bennett, grandson, Andrew Milligan and great-great-granddaughter, Miya Cassidy. Surviving are her sons, Harvey Bennett of Pinehurst, Lee Bennett of Rockingham; daughter, Frances Autry of Lumberton; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruby Jacobs of Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday at the Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Steven Gilmer and Rev. Nick Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from1:30 to 2:45 pm Sunday at the church.
