Jerry Hamilton

Jerry Willie “Pete” Hamilton 78 of Apt 2D Holiday Village died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Hamilton was born September 27, 1933 in Lancaster, SC, a son of the late John Sawyer and Mary Wright Hamilton. He was retired from the US Navy and had served during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary S. Hamilton. He is survived by a step-son Gary Brent Gibson of Rockingham, a daughter, Janice Smith of N. Little Rock, Arkansas a sister, Sarah Hamilton Farmer of Hamlet. Also surviving are 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am. Monday at Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to AMVET Post 316 304 Freeman Mill Rd. Hamlet N.C. 28345.
