S. Graham Snyder

Samuel Graham Snyder, 79, of Ellerbe, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Graham was born May 27, 1933 in Richmond County, a son of the late George C. and Ila Capel Snyder. He served his country in the United States Air Force, was a member of Ellerbe First Presbyterian Church, PCA, and had served as a director of Production Credit Association Bank in Carthage for 15 years. He had worked with McInnis Motors in Rockingham for several years and was a tobacco and produce farmer. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Grover and Charles Snyder. Graham loved his family, friends, neighbors, his church and his God, He was a true family man. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Molly Chappell Snyder of the home; nephew, Edward C. Snyder and wife Sandra; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Snyder. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Ellerbe First Presbyterian Church, PCA with Rev. James Watson and Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Chappell Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home.
