Theo Dewitt Gallimore

Mrs. Theo Dewitt Gallimore, 85, of Norman, died Saturday, November 03, 2007 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. Mrs. Gallimore was born October 29, 1922 in Lugoff, SC, a daughter of the late Jesse and Hattie Ward Dewitt. She was a member of Norman Presbyterian Church and the Ellerbe Civitan Club. Mrs. Gallimore had been a clerk with the Pinehurst Hotel and assistant Post Master in Norman. Her husband, John R. Gallimore and a granddaughter, Donna Parsons preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Lewis R. Gallimore of Fayetteville, Donald W. Gallimore of Gaffney, SC, daughters, Martha G. Parsons of Florence, SC, Wanda G. Williams of Rockingham, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a brother, Horace Dewitt of Hendersonville, NC. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Norman Cemetery with Rev. Edsel Huffstetler officiating. The family will see friends from 7:00 –8:30 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home in Norman. Memorials may be made to Norman Presbyterian Church.
