Mrs. Ossie Lambert Wilson, beloved mother and grandmother went home to be with her Lord on November 22, 2007. Mrs. Wilson was born September 18, 1907 in Williamsburg Co., SC, a daughter of the late Boston and Mary Cannon. She was employed at Aleo Manufacturing and was a faithful member of the East Rockingham First Pentecostal Holiness Church for more than fifty years. She was a role model and prayer warrior for her family and friends. A visitation will be held on November 24th from 2 to 3 pm at the East Rockingham First Pentecostal Holiness Church with a memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Wilson’s life at 3:00 pm. Reverend Harris Jordan will be officiating the service, assisted by Reverend Joe Wilkes. Mrs. Evelyn Barnes will be speaking on behalf of the family. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Mrs. Wilson is survived by a son, Bobby C. Lambert and wife Jane of Rockingham; and a daughter, Elneta ‘Nita’ Lambert Currie of Rockingham, with whom she made her home. She was loved and will greatly missed by her six grandchildren, Kay Lovette and husband Randy of Marston, Tracy Lambert of Laurinburg, Sam Spivey and wife Gail of Rockingham, Tessie Woodruff and husband Richard of Shallotte, Jason Lambert of Fayetteville, and Kelly L. Pleasant and husband Rob of Clayton; twenty one great grandchildren and twenty five great great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Doris W. Cannon of Rockingham and two sisters, Versie McGee of Rockingham and Katie McCants of Georgetown, SC. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by husbands, W. E. ‘Bill’ Lambert and Alfred Wilson, and a son, C. W. ‘Bill’ Lambert. Serving as pallbearers will be great grandsons, John Grant III of Shallotte, Tim Grant of Rocky Mount, Matthew Grant of Rockingham, Josh Ludlum and Adam Ludlum, both of Marston, and John ‘Tommy’ Grant, IV of Shallotte.
