Janie Elizabeth "Lib" Crume

“Lib” Crume” Mrs. Janie Elizabeth Crume, 90, of Rockingham died Monday November 26, 2007 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mrs. Crume was born April 2, 1917 in York County South Caroline a daughter of the late H. H. and Sarah Richardson Griffin. She was a member of Church of Christ of Rockingham. She retired from Aleo Manufacturing Company. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Crume and three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 29, 2007 at 2:00 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. She is survived by one son Michael W. Crume and wife Elaine of Hamlet and one daughter Barbara Liggins of Zebulon N.C. Two brothers James Griffin and Jerry Griffin of Fort Mill S.C. four sisters Lucille Grant, Phyllis Carswell, and Pat Corley all of Fort Mill S. C. and Carolyn Faught of Jackson Tenn. Three Grandchildren Melanie Davey, Mary Lib Smith and Michael W. CrumeJr. Four Great Grandchildren Matthew, Dalton Smith, Michael W. Crume III and Matthew Crume. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30-7:00pm at Carter Funeral Home and then again one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of her son Michael W. Crume.
