Raleigh Lee Hartman

Raleigh Lee Hartman, 71, of Rockingham died Saturday October 6, 2012 in First Health Hospice, Pinehurst. Mr. Hartman was born June 3, 1941 in Richmond County, a son of the late Reggie and Nina Mabe Hartman. He was a member of Harvest Ministries Church and a retired from Burlington Industries where he worked as an electrician for 51 years. Raleigh owned and operated Hartman Auto Sales in Rockingham for seven years. He is survived by his wife Patsy Johnson Hartman of the home; a son Jimmy Shephard and wife Beverly of Lilesville; daughters, Lori Jacobs and husband Louis of Hamlet, Lisa Benoist and husband Charles of Rockingham; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Letisha Mathis and husband Buck of Winston-Salem, Lucille Mathis also of Winston-Salem and Augusta Hale of Ellerbe. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm. Wednesday October 10, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Gene Alexander and Rev. Donnie Robson officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery.
