Anna Elizabeth Webb

Anna Elizabeth Wirth Webb, 83, of Rockingham, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Manor Care of Pinehurst. Mrs. Webb was born April 10, 1929 in Germany, a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Maria Elizabeth Gerhards Wirth. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Hamlet and had retired from the Base Exchange at Hahn Air Force Base, Germany. Anna was a great cook who enjoyed sharing dishes from her native Germany with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Webb in 2003. Surviving are cousins in Germany; her sister-in law, Elma Webb; and several nieces and nephews in the Webb Family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Jean Pierre Swamunu, celebrant. Interment will follow in Green Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 1018 W. Hamlet Ave., Hamlet, NC 28345.
