Janie Sheffield Sinclair

Janie Sheffield Sinclair, 85, of Rockingham, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Sinclair was born January 10, 1927, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Charlie B. and Ada Smith Sheffield. She was a member of Rockingham Wesleyan Church and had retired from Sears. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sinclair. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Carol Sinclair of Rockingham; granddaughter, Ashleigh Sinclair; great-grandchildren, Kristen Sinclair and Cadence Gazoo; her twin sister, Ada Sheffield of Rockingham and uncles, Russell Seitz of Rockingham and Bill Smith of Raleigh. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm at Rockingham Wesleyan Church with Rev. David Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1791 E.
