Garon Wayne Benson

Garon Wayne Benson, 13, of 268 2nd Street Safie died November 18, 2012 at his home. Services will be private with a public service to be held at a later date. Garon was born March 1, 1999 in Moore County, NC. He was the only child of Miranda “Mandy” Carpenter and was an AB Honor Roll student at Rohanen Middle School where he played football and was a member of the BETA Club. Garon is fondly remembered as a good son, grandson, schoolmate and friend. He is survived by his mother and step-father, David Carpenter, Jr., his maternal grandparents; Steve and Sandra Benson of Holden Beach and his step-grandfather, David Carpenter, Sr. Those who desire may take memorial gifts to Badcock Furniture Store on Hwy 74 in Rockingham. The gifts will be used to help pay for Garon’s medical bills and other needs that the family may have. Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham is serving Garon’s Family.
