Barbara Jean Wilson King, 76, of 217 Second Street, Ellerbe, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at her home. She was born on March 28, 1936 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Paul Wilson and Blannie Mabe Wilson. Barbara was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nettice King, two brothers, Lawrence Oliver Wilson and Paul Wilson, Jr., brothers in law, Jerome Gardner and Rick Cox and one sister, Neva Wilson. She is survived by her children, Bobby King of the home, Tammy Cooper and husband Joe all of Ellerbe, Bridgett Snead and husband Jerry Mac and two grandchildren, Coleman Clayton Snead and Casey Rhae Snead all of Mt. Creek Community. She is also survived by six sisters and one brother, Jeanette Gardner of Ellerbe, Mary Collins and husband Roy of West End, Linda Garner and husband, Brackmon of Jackson Springs, John Wilson and wife, Cathy of Rockingham, Helen Randall and husband, Harvey of Ansonville, Sara Johnson and husband, Jim of Wadesboro and Rachel Wilson of Seven Lakes a sister-in-law Betty White Wilson of Ellerbe. She is also survived by one aunt, Dovie Conner of Aberdeen and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A service to celebrate her life will be Friday, November 23, 2012 at Carter Funeral home, Ellerbe, NC at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Allison Wilson Farrah officiating. Interment will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of Jerry Mac and Bridgett Snead, 599 Clayton Carriker Road, Ellerbe.
