Mrs. Eunice Jacobs Fetner, 78, of 3724 Moss Creek Drive, Greensboro, and formerly of Rockingham, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Mrs. Fetner was born August 5, 1929 in Scotland County, a daughter of the late George and Lola Cole Jacobs. Mrs. Fetner was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and was active in volunteering with Moses Cone Hospital, as well as with her church. She was a homemaker, but did work with North Carolina Motor Speedway and Long Travel Agency in Rockingham for a short time. Mrs. Fetner loved to play bridge and was in a number of clubs for over fifty years. A service to celebrate Mrs. Fetner’s life will be conducted 4:00 pm Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Henderson and Rev. Mark Brainerd officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A service graveside will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, January 31st at Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Surviving are a daughter, Pam F. Reed and husband Stuart of Laurinburg; three granddaughters, Jessica Reed, Blair Fetner, and Heather Reed; a sister, Bet McMahan of Greenville, a daughter in law, Leslie Fetner, and four nephews. Mrs. Fetner was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fetner, her son, Ricky Fetner, and a sister, Grace Lovejoy. Memorials may be sent to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Music Dept., 3906 W.
