Lottie Mae Croom Ussery

Lottie Mae Croom Ussery, 93, of Ellerbe, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Ussery was born April 7, 1919 in Clinton, NC, a daughter of the late John Ezra and Rosa Mae Newton Croom. She was a member of Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church, had worked as secretary to the Director of the National Youth Administration in Ellerbe and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Carlee Ussery. Surviving are her husband, Marshall Ussery of the home; sons, Robert M. Ussery, Jr., William Ussery, Steven Ussery; daughter, Jean Ussery; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Croom, J.P. Croom; and sister, Phyllis Steele. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at Ellerbe Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Interment will be held privately. The family will see friends following the service at the Church and at other times at the home.
