JoAnn Rumley Williams

JoAnn Rumley Williams, 74 of 549 W. NC. 73 Hwy. Ellerbe, died Sunday December 9, at her home. Born May 30, 1938 in Robeson Co., NC a daughter of the late Tommy and Gladys Knight Blankenship, she was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Ellerbe First Baptist Church. A service to celebrate the life of JoAnn Williams will be conducted 3:00pm. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Ellerbe with the Rev. Tim Hendricks and Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. She is survived by her husband John S. “Johnny” Williams, Jr of the home, sons; Mike Williams and wife Leisa of Ellerbe, Charles Williams and wife Beth of Ellerbe, a daughter, Nina Williams of Wilmington, NC., brothers; Tommy Blankenship of Troy, Wally Blankenship of Mt. Gilead, Steve Blankenship of Troy and a sister, Betty Lou Parsons of Troy. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Marie Williams, Rebecca Cagle and husband Keith, Joshua Gray Williams, Carlie Williams, Reba Williams, Courtney Craven and Candace Craven. The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm.
